IBPS PO 2017 Exam Eligibility

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous agency, which conducts various exam for the recruitment for the post of probationary officers, specialist officer, clerks etc. in public sector banks.
IBPS has been scheduled to give recruitment notification in July for the recruitment of IBPS PO Common Written Examination (CWE). IBPS PO is divided into 3 sections. Candidates need to clear all the three sections (preliminary, mains and personal interview) to secure the job.


IBPS PO 2017 Age, Educational Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates, who willing to pursue the career in banking sector jobs should confirm the eligibility before applying for the IBPS PO/Management Trainees specified by IBPS. We are providing IBPS PO eligibility like nationality, age limit, educational qualification.

Nationality


Candidate must fulfill the eligibility of nationality. Candidate will be eligible if He/ She is:
(i) a Citizen of India Or
(ii) a subject of Nepal Or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan Or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India Or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

IBPS PO 2017 Age Limit


Candidate must have the age limit between 20 years to 30 years (As on 01.07.2016). candidate born earlier than 02.07.1986 and later than 01.07.1996 will not be eligible to apply.


Age Relaxation


There is age relaxation provide in the upper age of the candidate of various category as follows:
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers: 5 years
  • Persons ordinarily domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989: 5 years
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years


IBPS PO 2017 Educational Qualifications


For IBPS PO qualification candidates mast have graduation degree in any discipline by the recognized Universities/ Institution/ Board approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies.

Note: Candidate should have the valid mark sheet/Degree certificate while registering an online application and indicate acquired percentage on the application form.

Calculation of Percentage

The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honors / optional/additional optional subject if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honors marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

Candidates applying for the exam should cross check above mentioned IBPS PO 2017 exam eligibility criteria. Candidate, who does not fulfill eligibility criteria, their Application form of the will be canceled.
