IIT JAM Application Form Correction – How to Change Defects?

 IIT JAM exam is organized for the admission into one of the top IIT Institute for the MSc and integrated courses. The IIT JAM 2021 exam is going to be held by IISC Bangalore.

The IISC Bangalore has released the schedule for IIT JAM 2021 exam. The Exam will be conducted on 14h Feb 2021.

The application process for IIT JAM exam has been over on 15th October 2020. The candidates were advised to fill the IIT JAM application form very carefully and check twice before the final submission.

Still, if you have made any mistake during the registration process, you can make minor changes through the correction window.

IIT JAM Application Form Dates for Correction– Know the Details

The IIT JAM correction window will open after the closing of the registration process. The candidates can make minor changes in their application form.

The changes can be made through online mode only at the official website. The candidates must have proper documents as proof to make the changes and must pay the correction fee to make changes.
Mark the important Exam dates as mentioned in the table below:

  • IIT JAM Online application started: 10th September 2020
  • Last date for registration: 17th October 2020
  • IIT JAM correction window open: After 25th October 2020

How to make corrections in IIT JAM Application Form?

To make the IIT JAM Application form correction, you can follow the step by step procedure as given below:

Step 1: Go through the official IIT JAM website for application that is JOAPS (Joint Online Application Processing System).
Step 2: Fill your application number and password and login through submit button.
Step 3: Click on the link change personal Data
Step 4: Now you can make the required changes in the allowed fields.
Step 5: Before final submission, pay the required correction fee.
Step 6: Click on the submit and take a printout of final application form in case of further use.

The changes will not be allowed more than once. You are advised to check twice the entered data during the correction process.


Which field can be modified in IIT JAM Application Form?

The candidates can make only minor changes in IIT JAM Application form. The correction will be allowed in the following section:

  • Candidates name (Only Minor Changes)
  • Date of birth (Changes in Date/month/year)
  • Parents Name (only minor spelling with ID Proof)
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Exam City


The candidates can make only minor changes in the IIT JAM Application Form 2020. A list of the defective applications will be released after the scrutiny of applications that contains application ID, candidates name and defects in the application.

You can go through the list of defects and make all the required changes as soon as possible.


What is the correction Fee for IIT JAM Application Form?

The candidates must pay some correction fee in order to make changes in IIT JAM Application Form. Check out the IIT JAM form correction fees below:

  • Gender Change:       Rs. 750 for single paper and 1050 for two papers
  • Category Change:    Rs. 750 for single paper and 1050 for two papers
  • Exam City Change: Rs. 500 


After submitting the application form, candidates can check their application status and check the errors.  No discrepancy will be allowed to change after the release of IIT JAM Admit card.

Know the Difference between NTA UGC NET and CSIR NET

Basic Difference between UGC NET and CSIR NET


The main purpose of both exams is same. The UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are held to determine the eligibility for an assistant professor in universities and for JRF awards to candidates pursuing Ph.D. or research.

Exam Conveyor body:


UGC NET and CSIR NET both are held by separate agencies.

The UGC NET exam was earlier conducted by CBSE on the behalf of UGC. The HRD minister had proposed that all the national level admission exam for higher studies should be held by a single agency.

Thus, the Nation Testing Agency was proposed which will conduct various exams including UGC NET Exam from December 2018.

On the other hand, the CSIR NET exam is held by the council of scientific and industrial research agency.


Syllabus:


The UGC NET exam is held for more than 85 subjects like arts, commerce, dance, history, Language, etc. and is common for all the subjects.

On the other hand, CSIR NET exam is held for science stream candidates for 5 subjects that are physical science, mathematical science, life science, earth science, and chemical science.

Exam Pattern


Both UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are held two times a year in June/ July and December month. 

The UGC NET Exam consists of two papers than earlier 3 papers. The first paper has questions related to reasoning, teaching aptitude, mental ability, and higher education. Second paper consists of questions related to the subject or your post-graduation.

The first paper held for one hour for 50 questions of 100 marks while the second paper is held for 2 hours for 100 questions of 200 marks.

On the other hand, the CSIR NET exam is held for three papers. Paper A is common for all the subjects for 30 marks. Paper 2 consists subject related questions for max 70 marks while paper 3 is held for higher level questions of the post-graduation for 100 marks.


Eligibility Criteria:


There is no age limit for Net lectureship in UGC NET and CSIR NET while candidates applying for NET JRF must fulfill the age limit. The age of the candidates must be below 28 years for CSIR NET and below 30 years for UGC NET.


Qualifying Criteria:


The qualifying criteria are different for different subjects. The UGC NET and CSIR NET both release separate cutoff marks for each subject. Cutoff marks for NET JRF go high than NET lectureship.


Career scope:


The UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are held for the same purpose. After qualifying any of the exams the candidates will be eligible to apply for assistant professor posts in universities and junior research fellowship for research.

The science stream candidates can take advantage of CSIR NET career scope and similarly other stream candidates can opt UGC NET for various opportunities after post-graduation.

The candidates will be exempted from any admission tests and will be selected through a personal interview.

UGC NET Dec 2018 Hall Ticket to be Released – Check Download Procedure

The National Testing Agency has replaced CBSE as exam conducting agency for the NET exam and NTA has scheduled the UGC NET exam in December 2018.

As per the latest information, the UGC NET exam is scheduled from 18th to 22nd December 2018. The NTA is going to release the UGC NET Admit card for December exam on 19th November 2018.

The NTA is a national level agency which came into effect in order to maintain the level of examination. NTA is going to organize different national level admission tests such as IIT JEE, NEET, UGC NET, GPAT, CMAT etc.


What’s New in UGC NET Dec 2018


The UGC NET December 2018 is going to be organized by NTA for the first time. The NTA has decided to conduct the exam in online mode only.

There will be only two paper held in UGC NET Dec exam. The first paper will be common having 50 questions of 100 marks. While paper 2 will have subject oriented 100 questions each of 2 marks for 2 hours.

The UGC NET exam is the going to be organized in different shifts for the first time from 18 to 22 December.

You must have knowledge of the latest updates and important things for UGC NET exam. Admit card is the most important thing you must take to the exam center. Without Admit card you will not be permitted to enter the exam hall.
