CSIR NET Exam Tips to Remember Day Before 

  • Stay away from the distraction like mobile phones, watching television, social media, games etc. 
  • Don’t lose confidence. Don’t feel pressurized. You prepare hard for CSIR NET exam and now it is time to give results of your hard work.
  • Keep concentrate on what you have read. don't get confused with the whole syllabus.
  • Revision is very important to keep memorized what you have learned. Don’t start to read any new topic before exam day.  Revise your complete notes, you make for the last time revision before the examination. Take short breaks between study time interval.
  • Have healthy food. Don’t skip your meal before the exam day. Have some healthy meal and stay away from heavy food.
  • Keep all necessary things ready for your exam, like admit card, pen, id card, photo etc. Take the print out of admit card and photo identity card in advance to avoid the last time rush on exam day.
  • Go to bed early. Stay awake late night before the exam can lead to losing concentration or headache pain in the exam. Take sound sleep of 8 hours. Sound sleep helps to recall things easily while the lack of sleep can cause memory loss.

Tips to Remember On The Exam Day

  • Wake up early on the exam day to avoid any hurry last time.
  • Check the venue and time of exam to avoid last time confusion. Reach the exam center before the entry time. 
  • At the time of exam keep calm and don’t let your confidence level down.
  • Keep the exam pattern in mind. Read the paper carefully and make a strategy which question should you solve first.
  • You will have 3 hours to solve 200 questions. There will be 3 sections. To score good and clear the cut off you need to attempt 75 questions.
  •  Do not hurry and attempt easy questions first, you are confident with than try to solve remaining questions.
  • Don’t stick with any question. If you are feeling difficult to solve any question, leave it and try to solve other questions.
  • There will be negative marking for the wrong answer. Be careful to attempt the question you are not sure about.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been announced the results of UGC NET January 2107 examination on  Monday, 29 May. UGC NET exam was held on 22 January this year, is available on official website.

University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test is held to determine the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) is a fellowship offered by UGC to the eligible and selected candidates through written exams for pursuing research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related field and for teaching as an assistant professor.
UGC NET exam has been conducted twice every year for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in the IITs and other top universities and institutes of India.

UGC NET 2017 Jan result has been declared. Those candidates, who will secure cut off marks as per their category will be considered eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor or both. IIT JAM 2021 - Exam Dates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Application Procedure!

Indian Institute of Technology conducts IIT JAM, a national level online entrance exam,  known as Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Admission Test for Masters for the admission in IITs and IISc.

Through IIT JAM, Candidates get admission in M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, M.Sc. - M.Tech., and other Post-Bachelor’s Degree Program at the IITs and IISc.  Engineering aspirants, who want to get Post-Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences from reputed institution like IITs and IISc need to know detail about academic programs, eligibility criteria, paper pattern and application procedure of IIT JAM 2020.


IIT Joint Admission Test is conducted by different IITs and IISc every year.  We are providing complete information of IIT JAM eligibility, courses offered, important exam dates, educational qualification and exam pattern and application procedure.

The IIT JAM 2021 exam is scheduled on 14th Feb 2021 and the IIT JAM 2021 Application Form registration will be held from 10th Sept to 15th Oct 2020.

IIT JAM 2021 Eligibility 


Nationality: All nationals (Indian/Foreign)

Age Limit: No age restriction

Educational Qualification:

For IIT JAM examination 2021 Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in any stream  with at least 55% aggregate marks for General/OBC-NCL Category Applicants ( 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST and PwD Category Applicants ) without rounding off in the qualifying degree.

Note: Final year appearing candidates can also apply for IIT jam exam although, Proof of having passed the Qualifying Degree with the minimum Educational Qualifications should be submitted at the time of filling up the application form.

IIT JAM 2021 Exam Pattern

  • The IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters will be conducted through online mode of three hour time duration.
  • Question paper will be in English language only.
  • Time duration will be 3 hours.
  • The question paper comprises total 60 que. of 100 marks, divided into three sections.

Negative marking
In Section-A (MCQ), incorrect answer will result in negative marks. For all 1 mark questions, 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. For all 2 marks questions, 2/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer, there is no negative marking for section B and C.

IIT JAM 2021 Application Procedure


Applicants can apply for IIT JAM 2021 only through online form available at official portal. Candidates should keep following documents ready at the time of filling up the application form:

1. Xth Certificate
2. XIIth Marksheet
3. Qualifying degree: Marksheets of all semesters/ years
4. Recent passport size photograph and signature.
5. Nationality Certificate: Birth Certificate or Voter ID or First page of Passport or School Transfer Certificate (TC) showing 
6. Nationality or Nationality Certificate issued by the authorized government agency.
7. Category Certificate for OBC (NCL), SC, ST Applicants, PwD Certificate for PwD Applicants

Application Fee

Examination fee for IIT Joint Admission Test 2021 will be made through online mode(using credit/Debit card/ATM card or Internet Banking)

Fee for One Test paper:

Male & Others candidates from General /OBC category – Rs.1500/-
Male candidates from SC/ST/PD category and Female candidates from all categary– Rs.750/-

Fee for Two Test Papers:

Male & Others candidates from General /OBC category – Rs.2100/-
Male candidates from SC/ST/PD category and Female candidates from all categary – Rs.1050/-

SSC CGL 2017-Notification Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit(Updated)

Educational Qualification


The educational qualification varies for the different posts for SSC CGL 2017 and given below:

      a.  Assistant Audit Officer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University
  • Desirable Qualification: CA/CS/MBA/Cost & Management Accountant/ Masters in Commerce/ Masters in Business Studies.

     b.  Junior Statistical Officer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level OR 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

     c.   All Other Posts:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or Institute

Note: Candidates appearing in Final year of graduation can apply for SSC CGL 2017 however they must have the essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017.

Physical Fitness Requirement


In SSC CGL 2017, there is certain physical standard for the post of Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/ Preventive Officer), Sub-Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) and Sub-Inspector in NIA (National Investigation Agency).

(A). Physical standards for the post of Inspector (Central Excise/Examiner/Preventive Officer/Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN):


Male Candidates:


(i) Physical Standards:

Height 157.5 cms.

Height relaxable by 5 cms. In the case of Garwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and members of Scheduled Tribes
Chest 81 cms. (fully expanded with a minimum expanse of 5 cms.)



ii) Physical Test:
Walking: 1600 meters in 15 minutes.
Cycling: 8 Kms. In 30 minutes.

Female Candidates:


i) Physical Standards (Minimum):

Height 152 cms
Height relaxable by 2.5 cms. Weight by 2 Kgs. for Gorkhas, Garwalis, Assamese and Members of Scheduled Tribes.

Weight 48 Kgs


ii) Physical Test: 
Walking: 1 Km. in 20 minutes.
Cycling: 3 Kms. in 25 minutes.

(B). Physical standards for the Post of Sub- Inspector in Central Bureau of Investigation:


a) Height:
For men - 165 cms.
For women - 150 cms.
Height relaxable for Hills men and Tribal: 5 cms.

b) Chest:
76 cms. with expansion (There shall be no such requirement in case of female candidates)

c) Vision:
Eye-sight (with or without glasses) Distant vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye. Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in another eye.

(C). Physical standards for the Post of Sub- Inspector in National Investigation Agency:


a) Height
For men - 170 cms.
For women - 150 cms.
Height relaxable for Hills men and Tribal: 5 cms.

b) Chest:
76 cms. with expansion (There shall be no such requirement in case of female candidates)

c) Vision :
Eye-sight (with or without glasses) Distant vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye. Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in another eye.
